No Classes Monday morning and Thursday at Highwoods this week.

Happy Sunday everyone:

Happy Sunday everyone: Please note class times and venues for this week.
I am always sad to hear that one of you or your family may be poorly but I am also very happy to hear that my classes are helping you to feel better in yourself and in some cases come off of medication.
When you are absent from class for a while please do not think you are forgotten, your space is left on the floor for your return.
In most cases your specialist or doctor will be happy that you have been exercising so please do not stay away.
Today’s newsletter is mixed with both being covered.

Exercise and Health

My Dr has lowered my amitriptyline dose from 75mg to 50 and I am hoping to be off it completeley by christmas and I have also stopped taking codalmol thank you Julie for my Fitness Pilates classes.

A thank you from Pete & Anna

Anna and Peter attend the Highwood’s class both on a Monday and Thursday and have not been with us for a while and many of you signed a get well card this week.
Hello Julie,
Thank you for popping in tonight, it cheered us both up:
The following is from Pete:
“Thank you all for the good wishes. I have recently been diagnosed with bowel cancer . My op was performed on 22nd July, the tumour was removed together with the infected bowel. Everything was doing okay, but I had a relapse on 3rd August and went back into hospital. I came home yesterday (14th). I am now working towards putting weight on. My dietician says I can eat full fat milk, cream, ice cream, chocolate, cheese, butter, and need to snack on cakes and biscuits during the day. Anna is really envious. I Hope to see you all soon. I am looking forward to getting my coordination all wrong and giving you all a laugh.
Love Pete xx”

Classes Next Week

Highwood’s Hall is now CLOSED for a week while they carry out work replacing the floor, therefor NO classes on Monday 19th and Thursday 22nd.
All other classes are the same with Tuesday night’s class still at Shrub End with an earlier start time of 6.30pm followed by Fitness Pilates.
There will also be a class on the Bank Holiday Saturday.
18 – 80+
This is not a holiday club this is the age range in my classes.
On many occasions the age range in a class will be 18 to 80+ and this makes me very happy. For me it means that I can teach moves that everyone can have a go at doing with no excuses that you may be too young or too old.
Stella was in class this Friday with nearly 50 ladies that were all older than herself and this can be daunting on it’s own, the noise was intense.
Stella is very quiet and keeps herself to herself and some of you would not even know she was there. This week Stella got her exam results and has excelled with A’s and A*’s.
Congratulations Stella you now Move 2 Success.
Have a good day, see you in class soon.
Julie
