Halloween and Move 2 Lose

Sharing is caring!

Oh NO it’s the end of October,
Dress up for Halloween on Monday.
Did you remember to change your clocks……..So what is the time?
What does the word time mean for you?
Watching the clock all day?
Time to get up, time for lunch, time for tea, time for dinner, time for a coffee and before you know it……. time for bed!
Please find time to come to class, time for your family, time to ring a friend, time for yourself and time for your loved ones.

Halloween (American rubbish) another commercial day!
On the 31 October each year, Halloween (also known as All Hallows’ Eve) is a time for pumpkin carving, apple bobbing, dressing up and trick or treating!
For me it’s fun in class,
lets dress up on Monday, witches hats, black, orange, and some fun, spooky music, it’s show time !!
Don’t worry a black T shirt will do…ummm I have a few of those.
10 class challenge
Well done to Linda Batterham for completing the 10 classes in one week challenge. And yes I made her use scarfs, floor work, boxing, salsa and finished off the week with “thriller”.
You are great fun Linda, I enjoyed putting you through your paces, back to work for a rest, as I start all over again!
Motor Neuron Disease Charity collection will come to an end on Tuesday 1st November.
I have invited Mr Hogarth to attend class on Wednesday morning so we can present him with a cheque for the grand total that has been collected for MND. This charity is very close to Mr Hogarth and his family at the moment. I would also like to say that his late wife Pat was a very dear friend and class member for many years.
It has made me very happy that we could help Terry with his charity fund raising for Motor Neuron Disease.
Total raised to be announced on Wednesday.
Husbands…….. Julie put’s her foot in it !!!
On Thursday night at Highwood’s I could see a man in a high vis jacket walking his dog around the hall. The ladies by the door indicated to me that he was watching…..Julie jumps into protection mode and closes the door saying “there is an older man out side watching” to which Sue screams “that’s my husband”… roar of laughter from class members, to which I run out and say hello to hubby (not a flasher after all) xx
On Saturday morning, scream from Allison as her husband creeps in class and gives her a hug making her jump and then runs out the door, Julie shouts,,,hey come back and join in, to which he reply’s
“see you next week” Allison say’s “he knows full well there is no class next sat”
Love it gentlemen, see you all in class soon. xx
Lemons
Lemons pair well with savory as well as sweet dishes. They are often used with fish, shrimp, scallops, chicken, and in many Mediterranean dishes, as well as desserts.
And of course your “Gin & Tonic”
Lemons also contain small amounts of thiamin, riboflavin, vitamin B-6, pantothenic acid, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, copper, and manganese.
One fluid ounce of lemon juice provides:
  • calories
  • 0.1 grams of protein
  • 0.1 grams of fat
  • 2.1 grams of carbohydrate (including 0.1 grams of fiber and 0.1 grams of sugar)
  • 23 percent of daily vitamin C needs
“AMAZING”  What can you do with a pillow case???
What can you do with a pillow case ? with me it’s place my tired head and hope to sleep. LOOK what Barbara is currently doing with her spare time for chairty.
Little Dresses for Africa, founded in 2008 by  Rachel O’Neill is a registered  non-profit 501c3 Christian organization. Our mission is to provide relief to vulnerable children throughout the Continent of Africa and beyond.  Volunteers from all over the world join together to make little dresses out of pillow cases or other simple patterns.

Barbara has asked for your help, if you have any spare pillow cases in cotton NOT nylon could you bring them into Julie.
Thank you in advance from Julie & Barbara.
With the dark night’s now upon us, knitting, sewing, painting or coming to class will stop you picking in the evening.
Six Undeniable Facts of Life:
1. Don’t educate your children to be rich.  Educate them to be happy, so when they grow up they will know the value of things, not the price.
2. Best wise words: “Eat your food as your medicines.
Otherwise you have to eat medicines as your food.”
3. The one who loves you will never leave you because, even if there are 100 reasons to give up, he or she will find one reason to hold on.
4. There is a big difference between a human being and being human.  Only a few folks really understand that.
5. You are loved when you are born.  You will be loved
when you die.  In between, you have to manage!
6. If you just want to walk fast, walk alone; but, if you
want to walk far, walk together!
Julie …don’t forget your witches hats for Monday, not attending class at the moment look what you are missing out on !!!!
