Back to School Back to Basics

Sharing is caring!

As many of you know I have been in Mersea this weekend for the Scooter Rally so if you have seen a few scooters riding around the town that is why.
I have not been able to speak to any of the girls ref the abseil down the town hall but hope to catch up with them all next week (if they made it down).
Well done ladies. xx
Monday & Tuesday night’s classes go back to Stanway School this week.
Back to school, back to basics – yes that’s me, so how about you?
Fed up with the quote “I will start again tomorrow”
Fed up with feeling the way you do
Fed up with looking the way you feel
Fed up with clothes that do not fit
WELL DO Something about it !!!!!!
See you all at the scales in class and let’s all make an effort – do you want me to start on the how many weeks to Christmas – NO you do not but would you like to lose a little and feel better on yourself YES.
WOW is not enough – how much did we make on the handbags.
I very often use the letters wow when I post news on here but for this news the biggest WOW and whoop whoop is needed.
I asked you for handbags and at this stage I had no idea how I was going to raise funds for the 2019 club, when a couple of class members suggested that I auction them. At first it was “how am I going to do that”, check each bag for anything left behind, sort them into possible designer bags and ordinary day bags, carry them around in my car, keep the money separate, make sure the winners where happy with their bag when won.
And now I can tell you:
Normal bags/everyday bags – £165.10
Auction bags – £485
Grand Total = (drum roll please)……..£650.10
A huge thank you to the ladies that suggested this idea and to those of you that not only donated but those that purchased the bags.
Anyone for TEA – Rooibos tea is also known as red tea or red bush tea. It is made using leaves from a shrub called Aspalathus linearis, usually grown on the western coast of South Africa. Rooibos is a herbal tea and is not related to green or black tea.
Rooibos tea is gaining popularity around the world as a delicious, healthy, and calming drink. Rooibos tea comes from deep in South Africa, and it has been used for centuries for good health amongst the Africans.
Rooibos (pronounced Ruy-bos) has been shown to protect against cancer, reduce inflammation, help prevent heart disease, lower blood pressure, and even calm babies. And because it does not contain caffeine, like green and black tea, it is a safe and soothing drink to have before bedtime, and you can drink as much as you want.
One of the best health benefits of Rooibos is its mineral content including magnesium, which is essential for so many people who are deficient in the mineral. Magnesium is calming to the nervous system and the blood vessels, helping to regulate heart beat, and lower blood pressure. It also contains calcium, zinc and manganese which are vital for bones and teeth, as well as iron, which helps to supply red blood cells and oxygen to the body. One of the wonderful things about getting your minerals from a natural food is that they all exist in perfect balance to help you absorb them best. The magnesium helps you absorb the calcium and the copper helps you absorb its iron.
Ask Tracey at Shrub End to make you one if you have never tried it.
