Pier to Pier Walk & Midnight Walk
Sunday 26th April Pier to Pier 2020. This ever popular event will see hundreds of local supporters flock to the seaside in support of St Helena Hospice to walk either 7 or 14 miles between Clacton and Walton Pier.. …….Will you?
In order to cover the cost of organising this event, and to provide every participant with a medal, they are charging a registration fee of £5. Children under the age of 5 go free.
The registration fee only covers the costs of running this event, so they ask each participant to raise a minimum of £30 sponsorship to help support local people who face incurable illness and bereavement.
Once again, men, as well as women and children aged 11 and over, are invited to take part in the popular Midnight Walk which returns at a new time of year, in September 2020!
The Midnight walk will be on Saturday 12th September, more details to follow nearer the time.
This years charities, chosen by you.
The two winners voted by you are:
SNAP Special Needs And Parents – The Womens and Childrens Refuge in Colchester.
Although snap is based in Brentwood their help is given throughout Essex for children and families that need support. Our lovely Linda who attends most morning classes at Shrub End chose this charity as it is very close to her family and granddaughter who attends classes in the school holidays.
Will will run SNAP from now until the 30th June tying nicely in with their awareness week 22 -29th June, followed by the refuge until the end of the year. Please click on the link for more information.
The only exceptions during this time will be the barn dance supporting Essex & Herts Air Ambulance and the Pier to Pier/Midnight walk to support St Helena Hospice.
I started this newsletter with a little motivation for weight loss during this year. Please remember my business is not all about weight loss. Do you attend Move 2 Lose to get a little fitter? to change shape? or just to get your heart working and for wellness. What ever your reasons are for joining please remember it is your class and I want you to have fun, fun, fun. Sing along when you know the words to the songs or just smile when you don’t.
See you all next week, have a good Sunday,
