Marching through March
As with every other year on this Mothers Day – Happy Mothers Day but for some this year it may not be the same. I offer my condolences to all those that have lost loved ones over this past year.
It’s hard to write Happy Mothers Day when things are so different so lets say Happy Sunday 14th. Enjoy your day what every you are doing.
March through March with Lindsay – Walking buddy
For many years now we at Move 2 Lose have held our annual charity Barn Dance during May for the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance. It was rescheduled one year due to snow. Last year we wiped down all the chairs and tables, had hand sanitisers in place and was not sure we should hold hands at all!!
What a year it has been!
Lindsay has set herself a target to walk 100 miles this March but it can be lonely walking on your own. Would you like to join Lindsay on a short or long walk to spur her along (her words) it’s nice to walk and talk (social distancing of course). Contact Lindsay on: 07469243887. If you are at home all day on your own this may be just what you need, or maybe you would like to donate to her just giving page:
Books – Reading
We had a post on the Zoom 2 Lose what’s app group asking for books and this lead me to think – Do you have any books that you no longer need that can be passed onto someone else at this time when may of you are reading more than ever.
I can arrange collection or you can drop them off at my house anytime.
Would you like some reading books?
Please get in touch if you have any to give away or need some, maybe you would give a small donation to Lindsay’s charity. contact Julie for books 01206 548049 – 07990975855
St Patricks Day
Saint Patrick’s Day, or the Feast of Saint Patrick, is a cultural and religious celebration held on 17 March, the traditional death date of Saint Patrick, the foremost patron saint of Ireland.
Irish stew, Guinness, Coddle, Soda Bread to name a few,
one of my favourite dishes is Colcannon.
Will you have the “luck of the Irish” day on the 17th? Be warned it can snow on this day, do you remember our wedding party night?
