RAD Move 2 Lose

Sharing is caring!

Hello Everyone
If you have been in class this week you may have had to move to numbers. We can hear the music, we can feel the beat (well most can) we can keep our timing to the music (well most can) but what if you are deaf. If you watch strictly you would have seen how wonderful Rose dances: her words
Rose Ayling-Ellis
I am the first deaf contestant to take part in Strictly Come Dancing and would like to challenge misconceptions about how deaf people experience music.
I think I made many of you think about music and dance when I turned the music off to see how you would cope with keeping in time.
Like all of our senses we sometimes take hearing for granted. I have on a couple of occasions had problems with my ears and hearing and would highly recommend you look after your ears. NO cotton buds, NO sticking for fingers in and NO thinking I don’t need to get my hearing checked!

R A D Royal Association for Deaf

Founded in 1841, The Royal Association for Deaf people provides services to Deaf people in their first language and supports mainstream providers to be more accessible to Deaf people.
As we brought the Pancreatic charity collection to an end I have decided that our next charity collection will be for RAD.

Christmas Cards

You may have noticed some Christmas cards and tags for sale in class. These beautiful cards have been made by Debbie and she will be donating some of the funds raised to our new charity.

Raffle Prize – would you like one?

No I am not asking for raffle prizes, I am offering them.
At this time of year I know schools and playschools may be running Christmas fares to help raise funds.
Contact me direct if you would like a FREE class voucher to use as a raffle prize, not only will it help your organisation it will help to promote Move 2 Lose.
This Week – class numbers
This week last year was the week that the govt shut down my business for the second time. Where has that year gone?
This week this year I am starting to feel that classes are getting back to normal. We are all still aware that Covid has not gone away and that we need to be sensible in our actions but we also have to have to think about our health and keeping fit.
Thursdays class has now closed but I was so pleased that some of you made it to other classes.
Friday morning was so busy this week and for the first time I had to say NO-walk ins.
Please use the booking on system if you can, contact me direct to book you in and use the walk in rule as a last resort. Looking on my web page under book a class will give you the total number booked in over spaces available On Monday next week is says 3/28 therefore 3 have booked in with 25 spaces still available so there is no problem walking into this class but if you see 26/28 then maybe book on or contact me please.
Julie
