Hello Everyone and yes “I love you on Valentines day”, more of that later!
What did this week bring.
Apart from the snow and freezing cold weather it has also made us look at nature in a different way.
I love watching the birds in my garden and often feed them at this time of year.
The trees and bushes looked so beautiful with the snow and then the icicles that have formed on roofs, drains and roadside bushes. There have been some amazing pictures on social media and the news.
For us last Sunday it was all about snow and sledges (I have the bruises to prove it) Little Lula screamed with excitement and I screamed of fear!
Thursday 11th was my Son’s birthday and like the rest of us it is very hard to spend “lockdown” birthdays at the moment, no going out for dinner but even worse when you can not invite them round for dinner.
Friday 12th Year of the RAT
What does the Year of the Rat symbolize?
Rat (Chinese Zodiac, in Chinese: 大鼠) is the first sign of the Chinese zodiac. A rat represents fertility, reproduction, wealth (since the species proliferate quickly and abundantly and always finding hoards to eat).
For me Valentines day is just a day
when words “I love you” people say.
True love comes from the heart
and is not always felt from the start.
It’s not the flowers, chocolates or gifts that are bought
it’s the words, and appreciation given with thought.
Love is something you can not buy, but can give
Love should not be held back, especially in this time we live.
Tell someone today or pick up the phone
Tell someone you love them, don’t be on your own.

I would like to thank all the Zoom 2 Lose members for their lovely messages on a week when I had technical problems with sound. Zoom then threw me out of the Thursday nights class and would not let me back in on Friday. To say I could have given up was an understatement.
FREE class for all – Wednesday 17th @ 6pm
This extra class next week is for everyone – please use the following log-on details:

Pancake Day = Lent
Pancake Day 2021, aka Shrove Tuesday, is on February 16 this year.
It is the last day before Ash Wednesday, which is the first day of Lent – the 40 days of fasting before Easter.
The date changes every year as it follows the date of Easter, but it is always on a Tuesday.
Easter is calculated based on the first full moon after the spring equinox in March. This year Easter Sunday it is on April 4th.
Normally I would be asking you to give up something for lent. As we have had a year of giving up so many things you may be saying “really Julie”. Or do you need to stop that extra biscuit, that extra drink, that extra slice of bread, use this time for motivation, self belief and strength.
