Happy New 2021

Happy New 2021

With covid numbers rising I can only stress the point that we must all stay safe.
I want to start this newsletter with some good news. My goddaughter gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on New Years Eve morning so for some 2020 was not that bad.
It was hard for all of us to say “happy new year” and most of us probably went to bed before midnight, but here we are in a New Year and let’s hope we can all see each other again soon.
The quote “New Year, New You” is often used by myself at this time of year.
I hope that many of us will get the vaccination – let me know if you do.

Weight

If you are not happy with your weight and worried about your health, what are you going to to about it?
It’s no good blaming Covid – even if it is blamed for everything else!
Take a step back and look in the fridge and cupboards.
Have you over eaten?
New year resolutions DO NOT work.
Left overs can be saved, check the use by dates and hide them away.

Get out the scales

WEIGH yourself – hiding from the truth? do not want to see what they say!
MEASURE yourself – grab a pair of jeans/trousers and use them as your measuring tape.
PLAN meals.
SHOP wisely, you should not be making too many trips to the shops so plan and shop.
EXERCISE – walk, go up and down the stairs, dance, anything that will get your heart working harder than it should be.

Work

I am struggling so much at the moment with not being able to run classes. Struggling as in I miss exercise and you all so much. Nothing is the same as taking part in a class
(even if is me teaching it)
I have friends that say “it must be lovely not to have to go to work” believe me, when it’s not in your control it is horrible.
I have never had so much time at home, my husbands business has kept me busy and of course looking after Lula has been lovely but it’s not the same as being in control of your own business.
I was hoping that January would bring us back together, but alas no.

Christmas Decorations

When you take down your Christmas tree and decorations is a personal choice – but for many people the traditional date will be Twelfth Night, on either 5 or 6 January.
It won’t take me long to take down the tree as I did not put one up!
Shock I hear – I have not put a tree up for about 12 years as we are normally on holiday so why change! oh yes NO holiday.
I did manage a few decorations that will take a whole 5 mins to put back in the loft. Just think of all those houses that are covered with lights!!!!!
No matter how you look around I bet you still forget to put something away and will have to get in the loft again!
I will be in touch soon and hope to see many of you on Tuesday morning @ 11am for a re-connect Zoom chat.
Julie
